Curtis Lary

Curtis is a sophomore at Palmer Trinity School. He is set to graduate in 2017 and hopes to become an Agent of Change. When asked about what first drew him to the program, he said he “will gain knowledge, experience, and a new outlook to life.” With the different modules in navigation and teamwork, he wishes to gain knowledge in becoming a better leader, as well as a follower. He is very interested in ways in which we can improve our life, along with our environment. He and his family have always been interested in harvesting renewable energy and are currently installing solar panels on their roof.

My initiative is Falcon Bike Share

Falcon Bike Share is a student run bicycle sharing system in which students pay five dollars and can check out a bicycle for the rest of the year. Falcon Bike Share’s main goal is to serve as a transportation pilot as Palmer Trinity evolves from 26 acres to 55 acres. As the campus expands, construction of bike lanes can be considered, allowing for a safer and more efficient travel method. Falcon Bike Share has received a $300 Green Leadership Program grant by Dream in Green. This money will go towards the purchase of six bicycle helmets and locks, as well as materials necessary to launch the program. The Eco Club has also contributed to the Falcon Bike Share program with $200. This money will go towards the maintenance the bicycles during the first year.
