AAC Class of 2015 – Israel Robalino

Israel Robalino

Israel Robalino

Israel wants to explore Galapagos and the surrounding areas in order to show his peers, friends, tourists and the community how truly beautiful the area is. In particular, he wants to focus on showcasing its flora and fauna. His biggest talent is always being positive. During the Agents of Change Program he hopes to utilize this talent and put it to the test during any potential challenge. He wants his parents and the community to be proud of what he does. Israel believes an Agent of Change is one who starts a new path, no matter what outside influences say.

My initiative

Israel is aware his community participates in an unconsciously excessive use of paper, which prompted him to create the “Papelera Isleña” initiative. This project aims to raise awareness about the problem of excessive use of paper and the impact it has on factories and production tecniques worldwide. He and his team want to make notebooks made from recycled paper and cardboard, with each item featuring a picture and a slogan/phrase that raises awareness about the issue.
