Susanna Albarran

Susanna is a senior at Palmer Trinity School. She is set to graduate in 2015 and hopes to become an Agent of Change. When asked about what first drew her to the program, she said she “would like to discover myself in ways that I have not yet uncovered.” At age sixteen, Susanna moved to a boarding school in Switzerland for a year. This experience gave her the opportunity to travel around Europe, to visit India and to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Not only did she travel, but she also gained confidence, independence, understanding, and knowledge about the people, places and things around her.

My initiative is EC Ride

Environmental Carpool Ride (EC Ride) is a mobile application for parent drivers that facilitate how they drive their children to and from school by using the app’s carpooling system. EC Ride connects parents within the school system to give and receive rides to students. Our goal is to reduce traffic in school communities by connecting and encouraging parents to carpool using our app. This way parents will save gas, money and time. Thus, it will lessen their environmental impact by removing cars from the streets and reducing CO2 emission by taking turns to drive their children to and from school.
