Eduardo Balarezo is the Founder and CEO of Lonesome George & Co. A former CEO and financier of a global conglomerate, Eduardo became a social entrepreneur in 2006 when he used his strong business savvy to create Lonesome George & Co., a social organization designed to inspire Agents of Change to bring change to the world through the choices they make.
Eduardo channeled his passion for experiential learning and teaching youth about global interdependence by co-founding one of the world’s most respected leadership programs, Outward Bound Ecuador.
A leader in the social enterprise movement, Eduardo is a celebrated member of the Young Presidents Organization where he produced the best rated Latin American Leadership Seminar “Alternative Futures and Multiple Bottom Line Businesses.”
Eduardo holds a Bachelor of the Arts from Brown University; a Master’s degree in Science from UHCL and combined Global MBA Programme from IESE and also attended the Wharton Business School and China International Business School.
An adventure lover his whole life, Eduardo has traveled the world seeking new experiences such as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and exploring unknown basins in China.
Clara Balarezo Rossel is the Creative Director for Lonesome George & Co. As a founding member of the management team, Clara is the creative force behind the groundbreaking design of the Impact Apparel collections.
With a deep appreciate for art and design, Clara attended Parsons School of Design in New York City where she immersed herself in the world of photography, fashion, and graphic design.
Upon graduating, Clara utilized her photography expertise with a stint at Parsons where she taught Alternative Photographic Processes as a teacher’s assistant and as the Photo Editor of Six Degrees Magazine. Her photographs have been published in various magazines and she also designed jewelry for “Helen – Exclusive Jewelry Designs.”
A yoga enthusiast, Clara believes that everything is connected and is inspired by the simple pleasures in life such as family, the beach, music, dance and animals.
Chief Operating Officer
Rodrigo Espinosa is the COO of Lonesome George & Co., where he brings his expertise in integrated marketing, partner development, strategic planning, and brand positioning to communicate the company’s important mission to the world.
With over 18 years global marketing and business experience throughout Latin America, Asia and Europe, Rodrigo is a passionate Professor at the University of California, Berkeley where he teaches graduate level marketing courses.
Rodrigo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication with a Concentration in Journalism from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from Golden Gate University, San Francisco.
Born in Peru and living in California, Rodrigo lives a bi-cultural life and looks forward to sharing his affinity for culture and the outdoors with his two young daughters.
Director of Marketing & Business Development
Chris is excited to have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the Lonesome George & Co. brand. His primary role involves building U.S. sales, partnerships, and distribution.
With 10 years of hospitality industry expertise in operations, finance, sales & marketing, and consulting roles, Chris has a deep passion for engaging people in meaningful ways and creating memorable service experiences. He looks to manifest this commitment to the ideals of service and stewardship on a truly global level through working with Lonesome George & Co. and all of Planet Earth’s Agents of Change.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from Cornell University and is currently studying Marketing at the University of California, Berkeley.
A native of Vancouver, Canada, Chris is, of course, an avid fan of the Vancouver Canucks, maple syrup, and the metric system.
Vice President Digital, Edelman PR
Michael is VP of Digital at Edelman PR and leads the team in Silicon Valley CA. He provides strategic counsel, guidance and best practices to several of Edelman’s top global accounts. Previously, Michael worked for HP, Yahoo! and Intel and was instrumental in driving social media programs and campaigns emphasizing authenticity and long-term relationship building. He is the founder of Silicon Valley Tweetup and involved in the Social Media Club.
Michael has a BA in Business from Saint Mary’s College, an MS in Integrated Marketing Communications from Golden Gate University and proudly served 8 years in the US Marine Corps. He’s writing a social business book, “Smart Business, Social Business: Playbook for Social Media in Your Organization”, due for release in the Summer 2011.
Principal & Creative Director, Crowded Ocean
Tom has over 25 years of high-tech marketing experience. As a principal with Crowded Ocean, he has launched over 20 startups, including AdMob, Palo Alto Networks, Clearwell Systems and VisualTao.
Tom is the founder of Comunidad Para Baja California, a non-profit that brings health care, education and infrastructure to the indigenous tribes of northern Mexico. His work in human rights includes working as a professor of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at UC Santa Cruz and Santa Clara University.

Procter & Gamble
Jorge is the Supply Network Operations leader for Procter & Gamble’s Pet Care business (Iams and Eukanuba) in Europe, Middle East and Africa ($250mm). Prior to this, Jorge was responsible for planning Gillette’s Blades and Razors business in Central Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa ($1bn). Jorge started his professional career in Lima Peru as a Sales Manager for one of the country’s largest companies, Backus and Johnston Breweries (now SABMiller, $ 1bn).
Jorge holds a BS in Industrial Engineering, an MBA, and is currently studying for a BFA in Industrial Design. He resides in Geneva, Switzerland with his wife and son.

Mike has 15 years of experience in the technology sector and is currently working for the internet’s largest marketplace for on -demand products where he oversees partnership development with the world’s largest and most influential brands: LucasFilm, MGM, MTV, Google, Viacom , Reebok among others.
Mike lives in San Francisco with his wife and son Rowan. He is a volunteer scuba diver for the California Academy of Science (CAS) where he is responsible for maintenance of the aquarium’s world class displays. Schell is an active fund raiser for CAS and for the local chapter of the Oceanic Society. Mike received a Bachelor of Arts from Denver University.
